In front of the villa there is a beautiful terrace-solarium equipped with outdoor furniture from where you can enjoy an incomparable view over the Val di Chiana, from Lake Trasimeno to the Amiata and Cetona mountains, and on clear days the view reaches as far as the Umbro-Marchigiano Apennines.

The villa is surrounded by a large green space, shaded by tall trees and equipped for a variety of activities.  At the edge of the garden, in a very panoramic position, there is a large swimming pool where you can spend the hottest part of the day or simply relax with your favorite book.

In the ground floor, there is a spacious kitchen-dining room with open fireplace, a living room with open fireplace, a master suite with one double bed and one single bed, suite bathroom and shower.  There is also a guest bathroom with washbasin and toilet, and a laundry room.

The upper floor can be reached by two different internal staircases, one in the front and the other in the back of the villa; both connect with the downstairs living room. On one side of the villa there are two double bedrooms each with suite bathrooms with shower, and a twin bedroom and a bathroom with shower. On the other side, a double bedroom with suite bathroom with shower; one twin bedroom with suite bathroom with shower, and a twin bedroom and a bathroom with shower.

The beautiful town of Cortona is our destination for today. After a nice WFPB breakfast prepared by our private chef, we board our bus for a quick 30-minute ride. Medieval Cortona is located in the heart of Val di Chiana, a sunny region of Tuscany set in a magnificent landscape.

We first arrive to a local restaurant with an amazing view on Lake Trasimeno.  Here we’ll enjoy some good vegan food together. After lunch we reach Cortona, where we will walk through its beautiful rustic streets. Perched on a hill about 500 meters above sea level, dominating the Val di Chiana, Cortona is a medieval jewel of Tuscany worth visiting. As most of you probably know, this city is the main location of the famous movie “Under the Tuscan Sun”.

Later in the afternoon we drive back to the Villa to relax and refresh, before meeting up for dinner.

Included:

  • breakfast, lunch & dinner
  • non-alcoholic drinks during meals and at the villa

After our delicious plant-based breakfast, we will jump in the bus for leisure ride of 45 minutes heading to Arezzo, one of the region’s gems and often underrated.

As soon as we arrive, we will have lunch at a local vegan restaurant chosen by the hosts.

After lunch, we will visit the city for a few hours to enjoy its beauty. Arezzo is a city of art known for its diverse range of museums, featuring extraordinary masterpieces of the Renaissance, unique collections of medieval and modern art, and magnificent evidence of Roman and Etruscan history. Known as the city of gold and of the high fashion, Arezzo was home to artists and poets such as Giorgio Vasari, Guido of Arezzo, and in its province, to Renaissance artist Michelangelo.

In the late afternoon, we go back to our accommodation, where a Pizza making experience with an authentic Italian Pizzaiolo is waiting for us!  You’ll experience how to make real Italian Pizza with a true local chef.

Included:

  • breakfast, lunch & dinner
  • non-alcoholic drinks during meals and at the villa
  • all transportation

Excluded:

  • alcoholic drinks

.

Today we’ll get to see some of the Crete Sinesi hills in our way to  Siena, a 45 min drive away.  This medieval city was a proud, wealthy and independent city-state during the Middle Ages and very much Florence’s rival.  Today it’s one of the best “hill towns” in Tuscany, with history, sites and plenty of pedestrian-only alleyways in which to wander and explore.   In Siena, you are free to explore on your own.

At night, we’ll head back to the villa in time for a charming Wine Tasting and aperi-cena together. Our WFPB chef will prepare wide variety of vegan cheeses and side dishes which we will enjoy along some local vegan wine.  You will be able to purchase some of these great vegan wines for yourself as well.

Included:

  • Breakfast & dinner
  • Non-alcoholic drinks during meals
  • All transportation
  • Vegan wine at dinner

Excluded:

  • Alcoholic drinks, except for the wine available for the tasting

.

Today we’ll spend the first half of the day at the Villa. There will be some time to relax, and then at 11am we start our Pasta Making experience with a professional Italian chef. He will guide us through the whole process of making original Italian fresh pasta from scratch!

In the afternoon we will reach a city called Rapolano Terme, home to one of the most famous hot springs in Tuscany. We will spend a few hours in these luxurious pools and enjoy the miraculous benefits of the natural hot springs. You will truly love this experience.

Included:

  • breakfast, lunch & dinner
  • non-alcoholic drinks during meals
  • all transportation
  • entrance to the thermal facility

Excluded:

  • alcoholic drinks

.

On our last day together we visit beautiful Montepulciano, 30 minutes away from the Villa.

On the ridge that divides the Val D’Orcia from the Val di Chiana, Montepulciano stands on a chalky hilltop. This beautiful Renaissance Hilltown, which still adheres to its medieval plan, is embedded in a picture-postcard landscape: every way you turn, you are confronted with the iconic image of the Tuscan countryside, where waves of hills and golden fields, dotted with cypresses, roll and roll together. Thanks to its superb vineyards, the Montepulciano area is considered one of the finest winemaking regions in the world.

For dinner our amazing chef will treat us with some special dishes to celebrate our last night together.

Included:

  • breakfast, lunch & dinner
  • non-alcoholic drinks during meals
  • all transportation

Excluded:

  • alcoholic drinks

.

Unfortunately, today marks the end of our journey. After enjoying breakfast, we’ll gather our belongings and board the bus back to Florence. You’ll have the option to be dropped off at either the train station or the airport to continue your travels.

For ongoing travel, the earliest times you should be aiming for are:

train: 1pm

flight: 3pm

Here at WFPB ORG thank you so very much for entrusting us with your precious holiday time, and hope we’ll get to see each other somewhere in the world again soon!

Travelers must have at least basic medical insurance when traveling with us, ensuring they are covered for unexpected medical costs due to illness or accidents during their trip. This is important to protect against potentially overwhelming medical expenses that could arise while abroad.

We need confirmation that you are fully covered in case of a medical emergency, including evacuation if necessary. You’ll be required to provide your policy details and emergency contact information before the trip begins.

WFPB ORG and Naked Earth OU are not responsible for any medical costs due to illness or accidents during your trip.

You will need to send us your policy detail and emergency contact number before the trip’s start date.

Trip insurance is optional but highly recommended. It is often bundled with medical travel insurance or may be available through your credit card provider. Explore other travel insurance options, which are commonly offered as comprehensive packages that include medical coverage along with benefits such as trip cancellation, trip delay, missed connections, and coverage for lost or damaged belongings.

Trip Changes
The trip’s itinerary may be adjusted if we discover an experience that could further enhance the trip.

Trip Cancellations
We require a specific number of people to confirm a trip, therefore, we are not able to cancel once the trip is confirmed and everyone is on board. If you are a confirmed traveler and you need to cancel your booking you will lose your spot. It would not be fair to the other travelers to cancel their trip as well.

You are able to assign another person to fill in your spot as long as the required documentation is provided 30-days in advance from the trip’s date.

The sign up fee is refundable only if the trip is cancelled by us.  In this case you will receive the full amount back.

The final Installment is not refundable under any circumstances.

We can only accommodate certain allergies or restrictions if you inform us before booking. Our team works closely with chefs, excursion organizers, and restaurants well in advance, and meal plans are typically finalized several months before the trip. Once set, changes may no longer be possible.

VISAS

Travelers from European countries do not require a visa to enter Italy. Travelers from USA, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand do not need a visa for stays of up to 90 days.

Most places accept credit or debit cards, primarily Visa and MasterCard. American Express is less commonly accepted. ATMs are available in every town.

You will need cash for personal expenses such as alcoholic beverages during meals and at the villa, extra snacks, and similar purchases like souvenirs and WFPB merchandise, as all accommodations, transportation, and meals are covered. Any costs related to our included activities are fully taken care of.

Tipping cleaning staff, guides, or trip staff is entirely optional and at your discretion.

Participants aged 12 and older are welcome. At this time, we are unable to accommodate younger children. There is no maximum age limit, but please keep in mind that this trip involves a significant amount of walking.

.

We are unable to arrange flights or additional travel accommodations but we’re happy to offer recommendations. Feel free to reach out with any questions—we’re always happy to help!

.

You are welcome to travel as a solo traveler or come with your favorite people. Many of our guests choose to travel on their own.

.

Our journeys to Italy takes place in the spring or fall, bringing mild to warm daytime temperatures and cooler evenings. Expect mostly pleasant weather, with average daytime temperatures ranging from 15°C (60°F) to 23°C (73°F). On occasion, temperatures may rise to around 30°C (86°F).

.

Water, juice, coffee, tea, some non-alcoholic cocktails and kombucha are included during our time at the villa and during meals when on excursions.

Alcoholic beverages are not included. Alcoholic drinks (such as beer and wine) must be paid directly to the villa staff or restaurant. Before each meal, we’ll clarify what is covered.

.

We recommend packing light and bringing no more than one suitcase per person. Be sure you can lift and carry your own luggage. Please keep in mind that our villa has a laundry facility, which should help keep packing light.

For clothing, we suggest bringing spring, early-summer attire like lightweight cotton pants, shorts, and t-shirts. A comfortable pair of sunglasses and a hat can come handy.

Since the evenings can be cooler, a sweater or light jacket is recommended.

Make sure to bring a swimsuit since our villa has a pool and we’ll be visiting hot springs.

Most importantly, make sure that you have comfortable walking shoes as the trip includes plenty of walking.  Sneakers with good grip should be sufficient. You may also want to bring a second pair of comfortable shoes or loafers for evenings, whether for dinner or unwinding with a nice cup of tea.

A nice and comfortable pair of slippers are gifted as part of your welcome kit!

Our villa features a personal trainer, giving you the opportunity to benefit from their expertise and tailor a fitness routine that you can continue at home.

This trip also includes plenty of walking, often on hilly streets since most Italian towns are built on elevated sites. You always have the option to sit out certain excursions.

If you have a U.S. unlocked phone you can purchase an Italian SIM card upon arrival, often available at airports or in the towns we’ll visit. E-SIMS may also be offered in mobile phone stores around Italy.

For travelers from the UK or other European countries, mobile service should function as usual since there are no roaming borders within most of Europe. However, it’s always a good idea to confirm with your carrier that your plan includes coverage in Italy.

Our villa offers WiFi, but the connection might not reach all rooms.  It is available in common areas, particularly outdoors, however, the signal can be inconsistent. Sorry, guys, it’s one of the downsides (our upsides!) of being in the countryside.   If you would like to stay connected at all times, we highly recommend having a mobile phone with a data plan for reliable connectivity.
